Why do we need prayer for a
This is the reason he sought to kill Moses as a baby. That is the same reason he sought to kill Jesus as a baby. He knows the impact that this baby will have if he/she is to become all that God has created him/her to become, hell’s gates will be shaken.
Dr Myles Munroe put it best. The seed of everything is in itself. When we look at a seed, we see a seed but in it are trees and fruit. When God looks at you, he sees what he put in you, not just the seed that may be planted.
Do not take any baby for granted. In them is the seed for leadership. There is the seed for influence. Some have seed for ministry. Yet many of these will die without ever fulfilling that potential. It is our role as parents, guardians and Christians as a whole to guard these gifts in prayer.
Most parents never realise that they have this role. I want to challenge you to take a different perspective on this. Seeing as you are reading this post, I would like to believe that you are taking an important step towards this role.
When you got through scripture, you will not that parents and grandparents would always speak over their children. They guided them in worlds and in affirmations. Their words stood!

- In the name of Jesus, I declare that this child will live to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
- This child will live full and die empty. He/she will be all that God has created them to be. In Jesus’ name.
- In the mighty name of Jesus, this child will be healthy. Diseases will not be his portion.
- No hindrance will successfully stand against this child’s destiny. In the name of Jesus!
Make it a habit to speak these things over the child and to the child. You see, faith comes by hearing. As they hear these things, they too will begin to believe in and understand that God has a plan for their life.

Lord Protect My Child
We understand from scripture that Moses’ mother and his sister played major roles in making sure that he survived the attempts on his life. This is the role that we are all called to play. We have to stand up for our children while they are still vulnerable.

Guard Your Heart

23 Above all else, guard your heart,
for everything you do flows from it.

Teach Me
Father, I pray that you would equip me as a parent/guardian. Teach me to be an able steward over this child. Show me the best ways to raise this child in your way. That my wisdom would not lead, but your divine wisdom would guide us. Open my eyes to the small things that matter. Equip me to equip this child, and to mentor them in the gifting. In Jesus’ name!
