There are fewer prayers less frequented than the prayer of gratitude! Yet is an essential part of a healthy Christian life. There is beauty therein. It often gives strength to the other parts of our lives. The body of Jesus Christ has for too long been fed an attitude of seeking the will of the Lord and not his heart. This is why most give to the church in a way that is almost transactional daily. They are almost seeking to bribe God! What we miss out on is that gratitude is the grandest form of prayer! It is the purest form of prayer that we can think of!
Just to allow yourself the opportunity to go before God with no prayers or requests! Let us look to the Holy Spirit guide you with each breath. To just draw near him with adoration, gratitude and admiration for he is able. He is the source of all good gifts. Our prayers ought to express this gratitude.
Prayer of Gratitude is often testimony given in advance! Thanking the Lord for what he is yet to do because you understand he is faithful. There are multiple bible verses that attest to this. Let us heed of them. This is how we can witness divine healing in spirit. We could and can experience God’s loving hand in our lives. Your soul food derives from this. Other blessings follow gratefulness. Give thanks to God for his love. Let our prayers be filled with love.
While others may find Hope from all manner of things Around we can find it in his word. The Bible is packed with Verses that remind us and carry us past difficult times and provide us with hope. There is great joy that we can get from his gifts and from each blessing. There is none like God. He is a father that takes pleasure in Giving good gifts.
Part of being grateful requires us to Allow God’s goodness to reach us. We know that he is all-encompassing in his love, reaching all ends of the earth and beyond. He faithfully provides what we ask for. We want to thank him. Fill us with the grace to receive each beautiful gift that you give. This is something that we ask for ourselves and friends.
For Who You Are
Casting Crowns coined the phrase “The God who we want or the God who he is.” This tells us that there are things that we may wish God would do differently. Many walk away due to issues not having gone their way, without ever learning to trust in his sovereignty in this day.
This is to say, though we may not understand what he is doing, we trust that he is doing something for our God. The goodness may not be immediately evident, but it will surely pass. As the prayers go up, his blessings fall down. There are several examples in the bible. Joseph in the pit would have perhaps been unhappy with his position, but lay it all in God’s hands. We just want to adore the Lord. You make a way where the is none. We give thanks. Amen
