Prayer Without love is no prayer at all
Page Contents
It breaks my heart each time I encounter a Christian who has excuses for taking part in acts that go against the will of God. This manifests itself if many ways. We justify the politicians that we support, as being a lesser evil than the other. Are we so far gone that “some” evils are acceptable to us? The Lord has called us to hold ourselves to a high standard of holiness. Although none is perfect, the pursuit of what is just should not become hindered.
That being said, we are called to be a loving people. A people unto a loving God. This is the way that will bear testimony of our allegiance to the Lord. John 13:35 leaves us in no doubt, as to what the Lord expects of us. This is the same expectation and regard that we should have of ourselves.
There is no prayer without love. No let me rephrase that, because it is not absolutely accurate. “There is no TRUE prayer without love.” Many people will labour tirelessly in what they think is prayer but what they need more is love. The reason we do not see results in our prayers at times is because we bring this to the Lord yet we have no love. It does not work that way, God will not accept sacrifice from man when we are without love.
Matthew 5:23 says, 23“Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother or sister has something against you,24leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to them; then come and offer your gift.
25“Settle matters quickly with your adversary who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.26Truly I tell you, you will not get out until you have paid the last penny.
For our prayers to begin to go beyond our roofs and ceiling into the heavenly realms we ought to make peace with our neighbours. Love is a pre-requisite for prayers that move God. Forget seeking prophecies and word from God, all this is good, however we need start by looking within ourselves. Look at your relationships with those around you. 1 John 4:20 says, “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.”
When you begin to change this, you will begin to see God move more in your life. Love creates an atmosphere for miracles. The Lord is love!!! God bless you.
Father, teach us to truly love, to love the ones around us, and to love you. We bless your name Lord. Guide us to reconcile with our neighbours. In Jesus’s name. Amen
Let me encourage you, Pray with love ladies and gentleman. Until we pray with love we wont see results.
Prayer as therapy
In many ways prayer is a form of therapy. If you are to ever find yourself in a place of struggling with forgiveness, try this. Pray for the person who has hurt you. It will always start off very hard. Pray is a gift that you will seldom be thanked for, it is a gift that is given anonymously for the most part, and received by people who at times never realise that they have received it, let alone appreciate it.
The field of intercession is not for those who thrive on appreciation and approval from fellow man. Speak a blessing over those that have hurt you. Wish them well. Speak a blessing over their homes and over their families. This is an exercise that will scrap at the wounds and scars in your heart. It will begin to sap you of bitterness and leave you with a pure heart. It is a practice that takes time but one that is sure to bring liberty to your heart.
Whatever weight you are carrying from the pain you have suffered at the hands of others is released at the feet of Christ as you seek his face on behalf of your enemies. If for no other reasons at all, let your enemies live long enough to see the goodness of the Lord in your life. Let them live long enough that they may see the hand of the Lord lift you up, beyond the scars they caused you.
Lord Teach Me To Love
Some of us are adamant that we know how to love. There is an evident pride in an assumption that we know. It is in seeking the Lord that we begin to want better for him from ourselves. When will we begin to admit that average love is simply not good enough for our wonderful God.
As his representatives, we ought to brandish a unique brand of love that the word is not familiar with. They ought to see something unique in the way that we treat those who don’t deserve to be treated well. While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, the word of the Lord says in Romans 5:8. Why then do we hold others to a much higher esteem than the Lord held us?
Why do we have conditions attached to our love? Why will we as believers only extend our love to others under certain circumstances? This isn’t love at all if it is based on a system of giving to those who are deserving of it. This is merely rewarding those who have earned it. Love should not be earned. It is one thing to love fellow believers, and another to love non-believers.
I don’t want to be part of a hurdle of Christians who are bunched together. How good is light is it only reflect on other light? Light is most effective when cast into darkness. Christ was cast into a dark world, look what wonderful results that brought out. Be a light. Love! Let your prayers begin to soar. God bless.

Are you following the bandwagon?
My uncle told me a story when I was about 12 years old. That story has stuck with me and becomes more profound as I have grown older. The story has it that there was a man who went to pray on a mountain and seek the Lord.
He began to do this very often as the presence of the Lord was tangible on the mountain. While he was praying he noticed that the mountain was rat infested and that they would disrupt him in his time of prayer. To solve this problem he went and bought a cat which he would take with him every night when he went to the mountain.
As time went by, people began to see that surely the Lord was with this man. As a result, they began to follow him to pray on this mountain. A church was started here, and as the people came they each began to bring a cat with them. The man died and the church continued, not ever knowing why they had cats in the church. They were all just blindly following. The rat issue had long been solved, but the cats kept growing in numbers as the church grew.
Having learned that, a few years ago I had an individual say to me, ” Are you going to be fasting this year?” To which I responded with “why?” I just wanted to pick her brain but her answer showed me the flaw that was in the story above, she replied “That’s what Pentecostals do at the start of the year.” I didn’t fast that year.
I said to myself, I will not do something for the Lord based on that statement. I fast because this is what the Lord requires of us. It is time we focused our eyes on the Lord himself and his own word, and not just follow the bandwagon. God bless you.
Dear you, grant us the grace to seek and follow only you. We refuse to follow the bandwagon. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Praying Your heart
Mat 6:7 When you pray, do not babble repetitiously like the Gentiles, because they think that by their many words, they will be heard.
I always used to worry when I prayed in public, how my petitions didn’t seem as elegant as I used to hear the others pray. I have learned that your supplications come from the abundance of your heart, which is where the Lord’s eye looks. Your focus in prayer should be on your heart condition and not how your prayers sound when they come out.
The sound may sound pleasing to man, but remember your prayers are not to man. Man will be captivated by the way one’s words are presented, as though heaven is moved by the sound of your voice. As though heaven is moved by the way one presents his/her words. The Lord is always looking beyond what we say, beyond even what we do at times.
He is looking at who we are. He knows who you are when you are not in prayer. He has seen you at your worst and at your best, yet he loves you still. I want to encourage you today, and pray from your heart. Lay it all before him, the good, the bad and even the ugliest. He already knows it anyway. Father grant us the elegance of heart. Hearts that are in sync and aligned with you. Make us a generation after your own heart. Teach us true prayer. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Spirit consciousness
Guilt is one of the devil’s oldest and still most used weapons. All of us have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory, the word of God rightly states that. As a result of that the devil realises that if he can put a barrier of guilt before you and me, though we have access to the father, we will not approach his throne. He will constantly remind you of how and where you have fallen.
The presence of guilt in one’s mind impedes SPIRIT CONSCIOUSNESS. We are no longer able to recognise the presence of God. We are no longer able to acknowledge his hand in our lives. Thus the enemy is left with an open window to sow doubt in you. “God is disgusted by you.” He’ll say that to you, “How can an unclean person as you come before the Lord?” He’ll also say.
I’ll tell you now, nothing can separate you from the love of God. He loved us yet we were sinners. He sent his son to save us, while we were sinners!!! In the name of Jesus, I release you from any guilt. I release you from any sin consciousness. You are spirit conscious. You will hear and recognise your shepherd’s voice. You are set free from the bondage of sin in the mighty name of Jesus. Loose them now, Satan. Give us spirit consciousness, oh Lord! In the name of Jesus. Amen.
From Sheep to shepherd
When they heard them speak they said surely these men had been with Jesus. When God elevates you all else ceases to matter. Your lack of qualification is qualified by his presence. That’s all the education Peter had!!!
The bible recounts how these men were cowering after their shepherd was taken away. As a believer what you need to understand is that you are not to be a sheep all your days, you are to learn from your shepherd so as to be able to lead his flock to him the same way he has led you.
Refuse to be stagnant. The calamity that resulted from the death of Christ was the push that the apostles needed. They went on to do mighty works throughout the book of Acts and beyond. I don’t necessarily know your circumstances right now but I know there is always some form of calamity around every one of us.
Instead of it knocking you down, let it be the push that you use to rise up and do mighty exploits. In the name of Jesus, you will begin to savour the good shepherd’s presence. You’re learning and growing everyday. A great leader is rising inside of you in the name of Jesus. You are maturing in Christ. Your troubles have met their match today. In the name of Jesus, you are transforming into who he called you to be. Amen.
Enemy of self
I have the honour of praying for and with people on a daily basis. More often than not, people will ask you to pray for protection against any hindrance. To pray for the destruction of any and all things that are hindering. The sad truth however is most of us are a hindrance to self. We are often in fact praying to God for our own destruction.
We are the definition of an enemy of self. We stand in the way of the movement of the spirit. The holy spirit is a gentleman. He will not move where he is not given the room to. Our hearts more than anything need to be cleansed. The bible says “Many say, Lord, Lord with their mouths but their hearts have vacated.” The Lord looks at your heart and not as much at word which is not backed by heart, after all out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speaks.
I just release an infill of the holy spirit right now. Any and all elements inside of your heart and my heart that are against God I remove them in the name of Jesus. Father have your way. I will no longer hinder you. I am for you, as you are for me. I commit myself to you oh Lord. I refuse to be an enemy of self.
Pray with authority
The authority that you speak with is dependent on two things. A knowledge of the incapability of one’s enemy or the knowledge of your own strength or that of the one who is backing you. Being physical beings our own strength is limited in a battle with spiritual things.
The bibles says in Ephesians 6:12 “12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” It goes on to say in
God’s Timing is Best
Thrive with what you have
I’ll have you know that You can thrive right where you are. Never give the devil the satisfaction of thinking that he has one up on you. Once the devil thinks you are down, he will trample you while you are on the ground. Too often we come up with reasons of why we cannot reach where we would like to. Stop it. Joseph thrived in Potiphar’s house.
When he was removed from there and place in prison he thrived in prison. He could have sat down like most of us, and complained that he would be a success if he became the ruler that the Lord had called him to be, the ruler that he had dreamed of. Stop making excuses like most people do, “If only I had a better job, if only I came from a better area, if only I had better equipment.”
Thrive with what you have, all you need God has put inside of you! Joseph did not have anything when he was sold to Egypt, he could have sat and complained about not having such and such, but he knew what was inside of him, and most importantly who was with him.
Thrive with what you have, it’ll open doors to accessing what you need. Your gifts will indeed seat you with kings, however you do not start off with kings, when you thrive among the peasants and you’ll be lifted to the kings. Genesis 41:37-45. The stewards who thrived with what they had were given more. The one who made excuses had it all taken away from him. Matthew 25:20-21.
Father we give you glory for all that you have committed to us. Grant us the grace to be great stewards with all. We will thrive where we are. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Stubborn Faith
Being stubborn is not always a bad trait. Our generation needs stubborn faith. A faith that refuses to be affected or infected by the doubt that the surrounding circumstances bring. Stubborn faith is the faith that says Larazus is sleeping even when he has already been in the grave 3 days, even when he has already begun to stink.
I don’t care what your present circumstances look like, what your doctor has said, what bills you are staring at today, or what betrayal or pain you are facing. Jesus says “Your faith has healed you…” that word is alive today, your faith has healed you.
Father God I give you all the glory, I humble myself before you, before your word and before the people you have asked me to serve, Lord by this prayer today their faith becomes stubborn, their faith begins to elevate them, their faith is healing them right now in the name of Jesus. I see divine provision coming to someone in need as their faith calls. I release that faith in the name of Jesus. Amen
Praying the Right Prayers
When Bathemeus ran up crying out to the Lord. Jesus knew he was blind. I mean, everyone could see the man was blind, yet Jesus asks him ,”What can I do for you?” What I’ve found in that from ministry is that we see our immediate issues and he sees beyond that.
Jesus saw beyond the blindness to issues past that. That is where you need God’s hand to touch, beyond your immediate need, beyond your immediate desire, beyond your immediate pain. To the root and to the future. As you pray today may the spirit begin to teach to pray the right prayers, to ask the right things of the Lord. May your eyes be open in the name of Jesus.
The devil knows you
Yes, I have considered how intimidating the truth that is contained in the title of this post may be to some believers. However, if I am not to make you aware or simply recognise this truth, I have failed in the work of this ministry. God knew you before he formed you in your womb, he knew the plans that he had for you. He alone is fully aware of these plans.
However, the devil studies you and recognises the potential that is contained within your destiny. To him you are a time bomb, some of us are ticking time bombs, and some are yet to be armed. He recognises this and seeks to do away with you before you are to blow and shake the foundations of his kingdom.
Let’s take it to scripture. Job 1:8 records a conversation between God and the devil –Then the LORD said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
What is interesting is the response of the devil, verse 10-11, 10“Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
From these verses, we realise that the devil had already been watching Job. He had as God put “considered” Job! and he has already considered you. The fact that he mentions the “hedge” that God had put around Job also tells us that he had also made attempts to reach Job. Child of God, the devil knows you well.
He has been considering you, and if you are not aware of that, it is because of the Lord’s protection over you. He knows what could potentially draw you away from God. This is where he will always attempt to attack you. He is very methodical and cunning in his ways. Be aware of this. You also need to study your, enemy.
He is weak against the Lord your God! Understand that you are already victorious over him through Christ, but a lack of this knowledge will defer you from exercising your victory. In Jesus’ name, your eyes are open today. You will begin to recognise and walk in your victory. In the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
Study those that God has blessed
I remember going through great athletes’ videos on YouTube with a friend of mine who is a sprinter. His focus was to look at how these great athletes started their races. We looked at Michael Johnson, Usain Bolt, Maurice Green to name but a few. This is the same way we should be as believers in this race to eternity. To understand God’s blessings, you need to study his blessed!
God is a God that doesn’t change and works on principle. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Though his blessings are individually specific, his principles for acquiring these have never changed. One such man was King David. The most striking thing about this man is that he was a man after God’s heart! What you are chasing determines what God opens up to you.
One of the greatest tragedies in the modern-day church is that many of us are after what is contained within God’s hand rather than his heart. When you desire his heart, he in turn gives you the desires of your heart. When you chase what is in his hand it evades you. Church pews are filled with men and women who are often exploited financially by our leaders because they have an idea that they can financially appease God to open doors for them.
God refills a hand that is open to provide for others! David was a liberal giver who is why his cup “OVERFLOWED”. Your rate of OUTFLOW defines what your rate of INFLOW will be. God waters those who water others!
Make a decision today to be a blessing to others regardless of whether they are a blessing to you. God is your source, not man. Do not bless with the hope of appreciation from man, the only appreciation that matters comes from above. Study blessed.
Father, from this day on, I refuse to give you a gift that costs me nothing. I want to give you my all. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
Recognise your time before it passes
You ought to recognise your time. In our book “100 Daily Declarations“, we could not state enough the importance of being able to identify yourself within God’s word. This is of paramount importance. The Bible teaches us that before the foundations of the earth God had already mapped out a plan for you.
Your destiny was already carved by his hand, the difference will lie in your ability to catch the vision. If a farmer had seed and in that seed was a great tree or crop but this farmer failed to recognise the time to plant this seed. Before he knew it, the rain had come. This seed, although great, would only remain a seed. Such is the case in the kingdom of God.
You need to recognise your time! If you do not recognise your time, you will remain a slave when your time to rule has long come and gone. Daniel 9:2 2in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, understood from the Scriptures, according to the word of the LORD given to Jeremiah the prophet, that the desolation of Jerusalem would last seventy years. 3So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes.
Daniel recognised his time was approaching and began to sow his seed in prayer for the harvest that he was expecting. I learned this from Bishop Tudor Bismarck.
As a result, his people’s time in slavery was shorter even than had been prophesied. The contrary is also true for the Israelites in Egypt because they failed to recognise their time they spent more time in slavery in Egypt even though their time had come.
Genesis 15:13 13Then the LORD said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated there.
As a result of failing to recognise and act upon God’s promise, the Israelites spent 430 years in slavery instead of 400 years! 30 years extra!!!! This is the same in our day, your time to rule has come.
It is time to recognise your time! Father, open our eyes and ears to your word. Give us great aptitude and understanding of our positioning so that we may not miss our time. It is time for your church to reign. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Be confident in the Lord
If you do not know already I’ll tell you now, your confidence in the Lord will determine the magnitude of your miracle. How great your faith is, is also a determent of how big your God is. I don’t know about you but I serve a very big and mighty God, who answers prayers in mighty ways!
Some will challenge the part where I say your faith will also determine how big your God is, so I’ll explain further for clarity. Even in the same church saying the same prayer, and reading the same bible, some people’s problems will remain while others conquer even bigger problems.
God will; in fact, God cannot fail to deal with your problem; he is incapable of failing!! God does not define the magnitude of your miracle; you do. Just as an earthquake cannot define the magnitude of the shock you feel, your proximity to the earthquake does. Let’s take it to scripture. Matthew 8:5-13
The Faith of the Centurion
5 When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6 “Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”
7 Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8 The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11 I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Jesus could have gone to this man’s house and healed his servant, and that would have been a miracle. However, the centurion’s faith placed him in greater proximity with the Lord such that the shockwave that was generated by the Saviour healed a man all the way back home that very hour!!!
He would have had to wait for Jesus to travel, but all it took was confidence, and faith and he sent his word and healed him. I don’t know what you have been waiting for in your own life, I am here to tell you “Have Confidence in prayer”. Father place us in the right proximity to meet you in this instance in the mighty name of Jesus. Teach us to be bold lions in prayer. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Praying the word of God
In previous posts we discussed the importance of locating yourself within God’s word. Today we will discuss the importance. Let me rephrase that; the fundamental importance of praying the word of God. What we ought to understand as believers is that, God will always work according to his principles. He is a very principled man. When your prayers align with his word, they align with his will. One thing I know for sure is that God’s will always prevail.
If your desires are against his will, then you are against him. To understand his will, you need to understand his word, which expresses who he is explicitly.
When you understand his word and position yourself according to it, his answers will always be “YES and AMEN”. 2 Corinthians 1:20 For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God. For the sake of this illustration think of God as a leader of a party, his word is his manifesto.
However, unlike other leaders, this leader lives by that manifesto. Whatever he has promised you in his word, he will see through to the last detail. Jeremiah 1:12 The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”
That is God himself speaking. He is watching over his word until it is fulfilled. What that means is that, if someone or something is standing in your way when you are walking in his will, it is no match for you.
What that means is that all you need to do is call him and he will come and sort your situation out, after all it is his will. His will is not for you to cry, it is for you to live in peace, while you have joy and a sound mind. That is what the king has said, and it shall be so! Praying his will gets you a response, praying against his will or your own will doesn’t have a guaranteed response.
Isaiah 55:11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.
Father, grace us that you will be our own will. So when we pray our desires, we pray your desires as well. In Jesus’s name Amen.
Rehabilitate your mind for prayer
Hi again. I will go straight in on this one, and I know it will be a blessing to you, share it and let the word of God bless someone else. Brethren, let God rehabilitate your mind for prayer.
Romans 10:17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
Now faith comes by hearing, and hearing of the word of God! In the same sense, doubt comes by hearing and hearing of the word of the world. What is louder in your life today? Are you drowning the voice of God with a louder voice of the world?
Just because it is noisier does not make right for you! I learned as a child that, “Empty vessels make the most noise.” God holds substance, he does not need to be noisy to put his point across to you. It is commonly said that he speaks in that “soft still voice.” There is need to rehabilitate your mind for prayer.
Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
A lot of people are praying for transformation but not seeing it. Romans 12:2 shows us that transformation is a result of a renewed mind. There is great need to rehabilitate your mind for prayer. When Christ comes he makes you a new creation…all things are new.
Your mind becomes new! When you take control of your mind for Christ, your prayer shifts to a higher realm. Just calling yourself a Christian neither puts you in Christ nor Christ in you. You need to fellowship with him, commune with him in prayer and by reading of his word. When you truly grab hold of his word, it rehabilitates your mind, you begin to look at yourself as he looks at you.
In conclusion, dig into his word. Rehabilitate your mind for prayer. Let his soft still voice become more distinct and clear in your life today. Father rehabilitate our minds today. Draw us to your word. In Jesus’ name Amen. God bless you. Share this message with someone.
No Limitations in prayer
Let’s make this as brief and direct as possible. When I was younger I would listen to others pray, as a way to learn to pray. I still do that at times. I am inspired by many prayers I hear, even to the point of tears at times.
However that is not always the case, I have heard some prayers that make me cringe. Prayers filled with doubt, prayers filled with fear, prayers that already say “I don’t know if God will.” Do not make limitations in prayer. From his word, we know that God will do exceedingly abundantly, above all that we may ask for. Many are even limited in what they ask of God. There is no request too small, neither is there a request too big. Do not place limitations in prayer.
Matthew 18:2-4
2And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, 3and said, “Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. 4“Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.…
This verse holds the key to an effective Christian life. It holds the key to ministry, and all else. Unless your prayers become like those of a child, you will hold back God’s goodness. As a child you will ask your father for the smallest of things, to pull your ball stuck in a tree, and the bigger things, to provide and protect him/her.
There is no limitation to a father’s ability in his child’s eyes. My younger sister refuses to believe that there is anything that I cannot do. To her, there is nothing that I cannot fix. That innocence and ridiculous faith is what drives prayers to your heavenly father’s lap and springs responses.
There are no limitations in prayer ladies and gentlemen. There are no limitations to what can do, there are no limitations to what he wants to do. He wants to be involved in your small issues, just as much as he wants to be involved in the bigger issues. No prayer is too small for your father to handle, neither is there one to big for him to handle. Let nothing place limitations in prayer.
How badly do you want God?
This has been on my heart for a while. It is almost 3am as I type this. I was actually in bed trying to sleep but could not. As usual I knew God had something for me to do. So here it is.
I was ministering to a lady a few months ago, and she was astounded by the word of knowledge and revelation that God gave me for her. She then said,”I want to be able to do what you do, how do you do it?” I told her it was all God, not me. This is the truth. However, I didn’t give the full truth. How much do you want it?
As long as you are satisfied with being a “normal” Christian in the pews, you will not fully experience what God has in store for us all. I know this because I was for a long time, a “normal” Christian until something was stirred inside of me.
Normal was no longer enough for me. Brothers and sisters, God serves a buffet, but he will not push everything onto your plate. It is up to you to step up according to your appetite. How hungry are you for God? How much do you want to walk in his fullness? You alone know what is in your heart, but your actions will tell us what is in your heart.
The bible says ,”Ask and it shall be given to you, pressed down and shaken together and running over!” Though God freely gives, everything will come at a cost. Don’t envy anyone’s anointing or gifts, unless you know what it has cost them. It has cost some sleep, some marriages, family, some money and some even their lives. However whatever you lose in Christ is a gain, when you lose family Christ is your family. When you lose money, Christ is your all.
Understand this; when Elijah’s time on earth was almost at an end he passed his mantle and anointing to Elisha. The great Elijah’s anointing was upon him. The Elijah who had slain Baal’s prophets, the one the whole land was speaking about.
Elisha understood, just how much more he wanted it!! Thus he refused to settle for that anointing, he wanted more of God. It cost him time, sleep and I more, just to make sure he saw Elijah depart so he could get his double portion.
Whatever you really want is shown by the effort you put into it. If Sunday is the only time you seek God, how bad do you want God? Those who spend enough time pursuing him, and walking with him are the ones who experience these things. Read his word more, pray more.
I challenge you today, how much do you want God? How much do you want to see the miraculous? These signs follow all who believe, so believe. By the measure of your faith, you will witness and be a part of these things. How bad do you want God?
God bless you. Thank you Lord for this beautiful message. Touch hearts and raise champions through it. We ask this in Jesus’s name. Amen.
Bible Verses:
Prayer is Defiant to situation
As humans it is natural for us to become distressed, and to lose focus on things that matter when life throws at us one of its unwanted and at times unexpected curve balls. It is easiest to blame everyone and at times ourselves but not seek a solution to remedy it.
Many are discouraged to seek God in tough situations, because we have often been taught that he is unhappy with us when we only seek him in times of trouble. Yes, God wants us to always be in union with him, however regardless of the situation of your pursuit of him, he is still happy to receive us.
In the story of the prodigal son, which best depicts the father’s love for his children even when they stray, we see that the young son sought his father when he was in trouble. His father happily received him. In fact he celebrated the return of his son, even though he had been defiant to his will, and gone and abused what he had been given. Luke 15:11-32.
When a child is running away from trouble, he will reach safety, and more often than not turn to mock the failed pursuer. He suddenly becomes defiant to that danger, even though not too long ago he/she may have been coy and perhaps petrified.
This is what prayer will do to you. When you spend time with your father, you become more and more conscious and aware of his presence. Regardless of what you are facing, when you are prayed up, you know all is well.
Even though you may not physically see a way out, you know the Lord is with you and will make a way where there seems to be no way. Prayer is what made Paul and Silas defiant to their situation, that they would praise and worship in a situation in which others would have cried. ACTS 16:25
25But about midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them; 26and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were unfastened.…
Your defiance guarantees a result. Your defiance becomes a statement of faith, that moves God. It is time that we as believers become prayed up. It is time that we as believers developed that crazy defiance that makes Daniel risk his life to speak to the Lord even when he knows that it may cost him his life, through being thrown in the lions’ den. Daniel 6.
Daniel recognised the value of prayer, such that he would have rather lost his life than lost his prayer. Regardless of what you are facing today, or what you will face tomorrow, may that grace of prayer carry you from this day forth. Make a decision right now, to become defiant to your situations in the Lord. Place your trust in the Lord from this day forth!!
The presence of God
There is a great misconception of the presence of God. As a young believer I’d often hear people say things like, “I feel the presence of God.” That always made me feel behind, because I did not feel that presence. As I grew older I began to feel that presence at times. More recently as I was ministering God began to minister to me concerning this issue. He said to me “My presence is not a feeling, it should be knowledge to you.” What I understood is, you do not need to feel God for you to know that he is with you. Scripture proves this 1 Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; “He will never leave you nor forsake you.”
2 Deuteronomy 31:8, The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
3 Joshua 1:5, No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
4 1Kings 8:57, “May the LORD our God be with us as he was with our fathers; may He never leave us nor forsake us.”
5 1Chronicles 28:20, David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.”
6 Psalms 37:28, For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. “They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off;”
7 Psalms 94:14 “For the LORD will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.“
8 Isaiah 41:17 “The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.”
9 Isaiah 42:16 “I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.”
10 Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
Many ministries are not moving forward, because people are waiting to “feel” the presence of God. Are we such a faithless generation that we have forgotten that, we should walk by faith? Faith becomes that substance, that evidence, that knowledge that even though you may not hear or feel God, he is with you. Take the Lord at his word and move forward brethren. We are in the last quarter, there is no time to function on “feelings”. It is time to know God. It is time to understand and seek God.
Father we thank you for even when we do not feel you, we know you are with us because you have said so. Grant us grace to always walk in this knowledge. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Assurance in prayer
In the time that God has been using us to minister in prayer, I have been led to learn more and more about prayer from giants who lived before us. Daniel was one such giant in prayer. There are many lessons that can be drawn from him about prayer, many of which will be explored and taught in our upcoming free prayer course, Prayer Tools, which is part of our Prayer Academy Curriculum.
There is an assurance found in prayer. When you pray you spend more and more time with the Lord, it is a moment of true vulnerability and intimacy if done properly. When trouble strikes us many will panic, yet Daniel was seen to be calm even when sent to the lions’ den. You see, Daniel had been with the Lord. He had learned to understand that the Lord is faithful. In this faithfulness he knew that the Lord was with him.
Regardless of any and all situations brethren there is an assurance that is a result of praying. You cannot spend enough time with the Lord and come out the same. I dare say, in the relationship with God, prayer is the equivalent of intercourse. You cannot spend adequate time in it and not birth something. In prayer God impregnates us with greatness. He deposited stubborn faith and assurance in Daniel. There is a great assurance in prayer.
Daniel understood that any seed sown by the father, the father was faithful to protect. That is what you need to understand today, no matter how low you are, God is at work. Labour in prayer and in due season you will birth, for there is a great assurance in prayer that leaves no room for doubt or fear.
Do not allow any word, any action or anyone to take that time away from you. When you understand what happens in that intimacy you will begin to cherish every moment of it. The assurance in prayer is such that your circumstances will not phase you, you know Jehovah is in control. Father teach us to desire and know intimacy with you more than with any human.
I encourage you, seek the Lord and find assurance in prayer. Intercourse is never a public affair, though the result tend to be celebrated. Daniel’s prayer was in private, yet his results were wondrous and are still celebrated today. A night unharmed in a lion’s den. Your private prayer will bear public result.
The need for a domain in prayer for dominion
One of the greatest and most fundamental missions that God gave us as mankind is to have “DOMINION” in the earth. Dominion places an individual in a place of control, in his or her own sphere. Dominion gives you influence that goes beyond your peers.
As believers we should always be praying for his gift and call of dominion, so we can dominate the world for Jehovah. I believe if more Christians would take up this mandate, the world would be a better place. Imagine Christians with dominion in the media and press, our children would not be exposed to all this nonsense that they are today. Christian business people dominating the market place, that is the world I live to see. Lord help me help them. I’ll try and be as brief as possible.
- There is no DOMINION without a DOMAIN.
Brothers and sisters, God blesses you where you are. He lifts you up from your domain. If you do not have a domain, that is perhaps why you do not see dominion. Your domain acts as a sort of address to which God posts your blessings. Jacob was an animal farmer, that was his domain, God blessed him in that domain. It was that domain that equipped him to be able to purchase the birth right. from his brother. Genesis 25:29-34. Before you pray for dominion, pray for God to give you a domain.
How do I find my domain?
This is never a straight forward question to answer. Your domain is based on the set of skills that you possess, or the things that you have. The bible speaks of a widow who had suffered and was in debt. Her husband had worked for Elisha. She then went to cry to Elisha, as most of us do to God. She explained her situation and he asked her the same question that God is asking you today, “What do you have?”
2 Kings 4:2 2Elisha asked her, “What can I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” She said, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.”
What you are willing to give the Lord access to will determine what he is willing to release to you. This lady did not have a domain that she recognised herself, but because she released what she thought was insignificant, God made something out of her nothing.
She was equipped to dominate in the oil business! Without a domain, where do you dominate? May the Lord give you wisdom today, may your eyes be open to see what you have, you heart be open to release it to be used by the Lord. Go and dominate!
