No two days are equal. Some seem to go by like are breeze. Other days, not so much. You may go through them feeling like everything that could possibly go wrong has gone wrong. This is the importance of prayer for a positive day.
It is not only for your days to be easier, but for some days, it is for God to carry you through the day. On other days it may be for God to give you the strength to endure and persevere.
One of my models for prayer is Christ himself. We know from scripture that he would often peel away from the ground before the sun would rise. He valued the time that he could spend alone in prayer with his father. This can and must be the anchor for your day. If you have been in prayer, no matter what the day throws at you, you are prepared.
Mark 1:35 New King James Version (NKJV)
35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a [a]solitary place; and there He prayed.
I would go as far as contending that this was the birthing place of the miracles that Jesus would perform in the day. This is where he received from the Lord. He took charge of his day while others were stay laying asleep. It cost him some sleep, but he knew that this was a price worth paying.
What price are you willing to pay for the day that is ahead of you?

Jeremiah 29:11 Good News Translation (GNT)
11 I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.
No matter what any day throws at you, you may rest in the truth that it is God, God alone who knows the plans that he has for you. These are plans to prosper you and to bring hope for the future.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, I bless your name for the plans that you have for me. Walk with me towards them. No matter what each day brings, give me the strength to hold on to this truth. Whatever wind blows, may my eyes remain focused on you. In Jesus’ name. Amen
New Every Morning
Lamentations 3:22-24 New King James Version (NKJV)
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
Forget the trouble that yesterday may have brought you. Rest in the truth that it is through the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed. Those mercies are new every morning. Furthermore, the Lord watches over his word to perform it. If he says his mercies are new every morning, they are new every morning.
Prayer
Lord, we bless your name for your faithfulness. No matter what turmoil has come and gone. No matter what turmoil is still lurking in the horizon. I find peace in knowing that you, God, will not let me be consumed. Because of your mercy, will get through whatever storm is ahead of me. In Jesus’ name.
You knew me before I was born
Jeremiah 1:5 New King James Version (NKJV)
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified[a] you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”
Our purpose is hardcoded into us. Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, God had already preordained your purpose. There is nothing that could happen that would take this truth away from you. God has put a seed of all that he wants you to birth within you. The enemy’s goal is to make sure that you do not birth this greatness.
What is a day in the grand scheme of things? Nothing that happens in it will surprise the Lord. He is well prepared to handle whatever will come. Our prayer is that he would walk with us through it all. Just to have his presence.
Prayer
Father, we bless your name for this day. We thank you for your everlasting mercy. Thank you for renewing these every morning. I commit my day into your hands. Whatever is to come, may I face it with you or not at all. Walk with me through the frames as you did with Shadrach, Mishek and Abednego.
Speak peace be still into storms. Walk with me through storms as you did with Peter. Help me to keep my eyes on you, lest I sink in it all. If I am to sink, dear God, pull me up as you did with Peter.
Declarations
Proverbs 18:21 New King James Version (NKJV)
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,
And those who love it will eat its fruit.
Never take lightly the power that your tongue holds. It has the power to calm and elevate situations. Have the boldness to speak life into each day, and into each situation that comes your way. Lord knows there are trials to come.
In the mighty name of Jesus, I speak life into my day! May it bring joy and not sadness.
My day will be filled with peace and gladness.
I will be calm through whatever happens today that I may not have wanted to occur. I trust in the Lord.
Whatever I set out to do today will be a great success. In the name of Jesus!
The hand of the Lord will be seen in everything that I do. He will walk with me through everything that I do. I am guided by the Lord and take no step that he has not ordained.
I cancel every form of negativity that my days has ahead of me. I will be positive through storms and the furnace. For the Lord is with me.
