Do I have a Judas?
Dealing with Judas
We are in the last days, the bible says men will become lovers of self. That being the case, most people around you are looking out for their personal interests and not yours. As you draw closer to your destiny, opposition will always become more fierce. The most dangerous being opposition from within your own camp. Don’t be naive to think that this will not be the case with you. Instead of thinking you don’t or will not have a Judas in your life, you need to learn to deal with him/her.
Judges 14:4
(His parents did not know that this was from the Lord, who was seeking an occasion to confront the Philistines; for at that time they were ruling over Israel.)
You see, Samson’s parents opposed his Judas because they did not recognise the purpose that God had for this union. You are in danger if you do not recognise the purpose of your Judas. Samson lost his way because he let his Judas (Delilah) play a bigger role than what her purpose was meant to be. When you understand who your Judas is, and what purpose they are to serve in your life you will never be surprised by anything that they do against you. Jesus knew his Judas all along.
John 13:21
21 After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.”
Luke 22:48
47While He was still speaking, behold, a crowd came, and the one called Judas, one of the twelve, was preceding them; and he approached Jesus to kiss Him. 48But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?”
Even before Judas kissed him, Jesus knew what he was about to do. He made treasurer the man who would betray him for treasure. It was no coincidence.
John 13:27
27After the morsel, Satan then entered into him. Therefore Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
Sometimes you will not be able to drop yourself to the lowest level where God wants to raise you from, this is where Judas plays his part. Your part is to know that when you turn your back this person is going to stab you, but also understand the purpose that this will serve. Jesus understood that by his death, even the one who sold him would benefit.
Finally, don’t give Judas more room than is needed to do what he has to do! Judas should only function in your life within the confinements of the purpose that is linked to your destiny. They are not to be a deterrence, rather a tool to catapult you towards where you want to reach. It is very important to understand how to function when dealing with Judas.
